My journey with tea
I started blending tea in my early 20s, back when I was a university freshman living far away from home. Those early days came with their fair share of “I miss home” moments, but I quickly learned I had something powerful right in front of me: my kitchen cupboard.
Whenever I felt off, I’d go searching for familiar spices and herbs, just like I had seen growing up. I’d boil water, steep whatever I could find, add a little honey, and suddenly, I found comfort in a cup.
As a child, I watched my mother and grandmother use food, fruits, herbs, and spices as everyday wellness tools. When the weather turned cold, we reached for ginger and honey. When the stomach felt unsettled, bitters were the go-to. In my home, tea wasn’t just a drink; it was care, culture, and comfort all in one.
So naturally, tea became part of my lifestyle. Even today, it remains my go-to for everyday balance, relief, and grounding.
How ERECO Tea Was Born
ERECO Tea started with a simple mission: I wanted herbal blends that actually tasted good and made me feel good.
Over the years, I noticed something interesting. So many people wanted healthier drink options, but the moment herbal tea came up, I’d hear the same complaint:
“Healthy? Yes. Tasty? Hmm… not so much.”
Or the classic: “Herbal tea tastes boring.”
As someone who genuinely loves tea, especially herbal blends, I couldn’t relate to “boring.” I knew herbal tea had so much potential. It didn’t have to taste like flavored hot water or something you forced yourself to drink “for health reasons.” I was convinced it could be flavorful, comforting, and something you actually looked forward to sipping.
That idea stayed with me, and looked forward to creating blends that feel different, teas packed with flavor, satisfying to drink, and thoughtfully crafted to support everyday wellness and balance.
That passion eventually became too loud to ignore. So, I did something bold: I left my career in public health communications and immersed myself in the world of botanicals and herbal medicine. (Yes, I willingly traded deadlines and meetings for herbs and steeping experiments!)
I began exploring different flavor profiles, researching the wellness benefits of herbs, fruits, and spices, and learning how thoughtfully blended ingredients could support everyday well-being. Guided by evidence-based research, I experimented with proportions, combinations, and flavors, sometimes obsessively, to create blends that felt purposeful and delicious.
Then came the taste tests. I still remember the reactions during my tasting season. Every time someone tried one of my blends, I felt this warm excitement in my chest, waiting for their verdict.
And somehow, the response was almost always the same:
“Wait… this tastes different. I actually like this!”
That moment? It was everything.
It gave me the confidence to turn my kitchen experiments into something bigger.
Then came COVID-19. While the world slowed down and people began paying closer attention to wellness and comfort at home, demand for my teas grew beyond anything I expected.
And that’s how ERECO Herbal Tea officially came to life, thoughtfully crafted blends of herbs, fruits, and spices designed to bring comfort, balance, and everyday relief, one delicious cup at a time.
Crafted With Knowledge & Intention
To deepen my understanding, I trained in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This allowed me to combine traditional herbal wisdom with safe, high-quality production standards. Today, every blend is created with intention, balancing tradition, taste, and wellness while maintaining strict hygiene and quality control.
